Air admittance valves are used for the waste pipe for removing vacuum by air suction. The aim is to ensure that the sewer pipes and exhausted out to the sewer system causing equalization of pressure. In case of insufficient ventilation traps suck idle and there is an unpleasant odorant load. To avoid these unpleasant accompanying phenomena are fitted with air admittance valves. The new generation of air admittance valves is designed so each of the two main heads can be connected through a rubber cuffs on three dimensions of the pipe. Air admittance valves are opened when the negative pressure in the pipe system and watertight and odor resistant are closed after subsequent sucking air.

Air admittance valves must not be used: where there is a backflow, the connecting branch, which is connected to a standpipe in higher than the third floor in a sewer leading from domestic sewage, in situations where it is possible only horizontal or inclined position valves .
To protect against freezing to -20 °C is used when mounting the top cover of polystyrene.
